My Thoughts on Barefoot Shoes

Connection

Thin soles. These soles allow you to feel the ground with your feet. They bend and flex like your foot was meant to do. With these things happening like their supposed to your brain receives the message it's supposed to and allows the rest of your body to move as it should. Without the ability the thin soles provide and with your foot in foot coffins ( a saying I got from Steven ) your brain does not receive all the information it needs to properly move you the way your supposed to move.

Posture

Zero Drop. Your foot is level with no raised heal to throw off your posture. With a raised heal your alignment is off and this creates unnecessary strain on your joints and lower back and over time can become a serious problem. A zero drop sole is the answer and it's all I will accept in my life anymore.

The Best Description about all three below:

This story is best told by Steven Sashen of Xero Shoes. I'll drop a link for the short video. I think you'll find it interesting and informative.

Toe Splay

Wide Toe Box. A wide toe box is where it's at. I cannot even imagine placing my feet in a regular shoe anymore. The importance of that wide toe box is to allow your toes to splay naturally and when this takes place proper circulation also takes place in your feet. When your feet are squished into a bullet shaped shoe proper circulation is NOT taking place and again overtime can become an issue. Give your toes room to move and splay your feet will thank you!
